Archie's First Easter!

It was Archie’s first Easter, and I was so excited to have my parents visiting for it. My parents haven’t been able to visit much because of the pandemic, but now that more people are getting vaccinated, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to see each other more. My dad is getting his second shot this week! Yay!

We knew we wanted to go to Sunday mass but wanted to go somewhere outdoors. Luckily, it was a beautiful day so we decided to go to the Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Asbury, New Jersey.

The mass was nice and we were able to hear it out on the lawn. It was hard to concentrate on it with a 10-month old, we were trying to keep me entertained and it was right during his lunch time so he was starting to get fussy.

I rented this pink dress from nuuly.com. Nuuly is a subscription clothing rental service — I really like it because I can rent from brands like Anthropologie and Free People. My favorite thing about it is that I can try styles that are totally out of my comfort zone but without the pressure of buying it. The dress I wore today, for example, it totally not my style and out of my comfort zone. I’m not sure that the style was particularly flattering on my body type, but it was comfortable and fun to wear. I would normally be in athleisure otherwise 😅.

After Mass, we walked around a bit and went home to enjoy Easter lunch. The day was outside of Archie’s regular routine and he was great until the car ride home. The car ride home he was super fussy and I could tell he was just hungry and tired. Overall, it was a fun day and it felt so nice to be outside and get some sunshine together! I’m hoping for more days like these! ❤
