Fireflies

Maybe I do have a favorite season. I always said it was Fall, when the leaves change and the world seems to grow cold. But maybe in my rebirth into motherhood, my favorite season is Summer. Where day and night seem to melt together, where the sunsets are pink and pretty and the fireflies twinkle in the pastures.

It feels like magic being out here. In the twinkle of fireflies, I imagine He said, don’t be scared of the night. Breathe the night in, breathe out everything else.
